For some stupid reason my county has a law that nothing can open until 1:30 on Sundays. I have a zillion things to do today, but I have to sit here and wait until 1:30. GRRRRRRRRR!

Grocery stores can open, but are only allowed to sell food and i think medicine. Everything else has to wait until 1:30. Its honestly the stupidest thing I have ever heard of.

I love living in California and being able to buy beer and liquor when I go to the grocery store at 6:30 am.

In Bergen County NJ, where my DH is from, those same blue laws apply to every store in every town in the entire county on Sundays. All day. No stores but food stores are open on Sundays and you can't buy anything there that isn't food. Major pain in the butt. Luckily we live two counties down and don't have to deal with that :-)

I hate too! It's not so bad here - you can't by alcohol before noon and shopping closes at 6. I don't understand why those laws are still in place. You would think stores would want to be able to stay open and earn more money on a day that most people have off.
