Is it just me, or is anybody else having difficulty getting to their, ahem, crotches after they go to the bathroom to wipe? i feel like it keeps getting further and further away as my stomach gets bigger and bigger! Hmm...maybe I'm doing it wrong LOL!!

The rear seems to be the bigger problem for me, but yes, things seem to be farther away. I actually disconnected the toilet seat once because I was tilting too far over to try to reach.

Maybe tmi, but I've started keeping a thing of those Cottonelle wipes by the sink so that I can wash up afterwards, just in case I missed anything.

it happens. It's hard to wrap your arm around something that big My belly was 54" around when I gave birth - if it got any bigger i don't know how i would have wiped! I really don't know how morbidly obese people do it... maybe b/c their fat is mushy they can pull it aside? But a pg belly is hard and you can't!!

Well I'm not there yet with this pregnancy, but with my singleton I gained 60 lbs. and totally relate. I usually trim (TMI sorry everyone) but it got so hard that during my c-section when the nurse came to shave me up top i asked her if she could trim the entire area, she just laughed....but i was serious lol.

I am so glad I'm not the only one with this issue. Definitely not one of those preggo things you hear IRL talked about, then again, we definitely get alot bigger than singleton preggos.

I had the same problem! I was so close to just getting one of those squirt bottles like they give you after a vaginal delivery because I figured I had a better chance of getting to it with that.

And I also thought the same thing about obese people. Being pregnant made me never want to be obese because I was miserable being that big trying to do normal everyday stuff. Its so nice to be able to wipe and see my feet again. : )

Yes it is hard! Hard in the morning because I am stiff and hard in the evening because I am more bloated, lol.

Oh I totally feel your pain when it comes to wiping both areas! I also got the cottonelle wipes and use them at night when I am trying to wipe half asleep.

What I want to know is how is everyone doing with the urine samples at the OB visits? I can't do the hover because my legs are just too sore so I end up pinching my arm off on the toilet seat with my massive belly then have to wash up to my elbows after like I'm about to perform surgery!

this is the best post ever! And one that I wish I had written when I was dealing with this. I am so glad you girls that are pregnant now do not have to suffer in silence! LOL and it is another one of those things that after you deliver and heal-you quickly forget about. I promise I will not take it for granted now :-)

Luckily, I get a cup at each visit to take home so I can do the sample in the privacy of my own home. Only it's a very small cup, so I still end up with a handfull of piss. Then have to find a ziploc to put the sample in to bring with me.

Not being able to wipe was the worst! It wasn't bad enough that I looked like a beached whale... I had to wonder if I was ever totally clean. Ewww!

I hated this part of being PG. I felt like I broke a sweat everytime I had to wipe - which let's face it, was quite often.

Soo funny - I am still able to wipe but had the funny experience of trying to see how much weight I had gained and having to contort myself because I could not see directly down to see the number on the scale!! Maybe that was god's way of telling me not to look!
