Don't the bottles get heated when you put them in the dishwasher or sanitize them?
This. Why would you use something that has been deemed to be unsafe? It just doesn't make sense to take the risk over a few dollars.
Here in Canada, they replaced all the bottles and sippy cups for free.
Although I'm sure that we will see new things all the time that we should not have used come out in research, why use something that is already deemed unsafe and banned in several countries?
I don't think your crazy but then again my favorite email that is circulating is the one about when we were kids and had lead paint and no safty gear. I know that things can be bad for us but the american diet and lack of exercise doesn't seem to faze most people as much as the latest thing to avoid.

Told IVF is the only option and have not found a clinic that will take me.
And there is just as much research that indicates that it can be harmful. Health Canada has banned the use of the BPA in the production of childrens items specifically because of the risk to INFANTS. To the general population, it's not considered a risk, but for infants, they have determined that there is a risk.
Ditch the bottles, get new ones. A relatively minor investment for peace of mind later on.
Re: I think I'm going to use my old bottles...
I have been wondering when the switch over happened because I am not sure if mine are BPA free or not.
Is it just heating them that seems to be the worry?
And what really is the problem with BPA (sorry don't know much obviously). DS was fine with the bottles.
see if BRU will still do the exchange..
DD was still on bottles when the BPA reports came out and they exchanged them no biggy. I don't see why they wouldn't still do the same.
DD was mostly BF but DH would feed her once or twice a week and we figured better safe than sorry.
