One last OPK ? for you...re: brands and sensitivity

Just curious what everyone's experience has been with OPK brand vs. their sensitivity.

I used my 7 Answer brands and experienced a positive OPK again this morning.  I then used a Target brand two hours later because I was curious if it would indicate a positive, too, being a different brand.  Oh, and yes, I'm a POAS-aholic.  Target gave a negative response.

So, which is it?  + or -?  Or was it a positive and then my window for a surge closed within the 2 hours to indicate a negative?

Thanks again :).

  • I used the cheapie ones and then confirmed with a CBE digital...sometimes I just used CBE digitals.  They are kinda pricey but give you a smiley face when it is positive...love them!

I used the CBE non-digitals until I started to see my surge, then switched to the CBE digitals to get the easy positive confirmation with the smiley face.?

I wonder if the Target gave you a negative reading because the test was not as?sensitive?as the ?Answer, or maybe your urine was a little more diluted 2 hours later making it harder to read you LH levels.

I was wondering about the sensitivity of Target vs. Answer, too.  I'm going to record the two positives that I got from Answer today and yesterday for FF and leave it at that.  I'll test tomorrow but hope that I've ovulated before then.  We shall see!

    Thank you for your input!

  • I'm thinking the Target brand was negative because your urine wasn't as concentrated.  They usually tell you to hold it for 4 hours before peeing.  Welcome to the POAS-aholic club.

I get to have my fix coming up because I'll be testing out my trigger shot.  Come on pee sticks!
