Hiccups

DS frequently gets hiccups once he has finished eating and has let out a burp.  Does anyone have a trick to stop the hiccups?  I have found that trying to feed him again usually helps, but he only gets them when he is just finished eating.  Any other tricks?  TIA

    any sucking will help...so a paci or a finger will help too.

    I have heard that hiccups bother us more then them. Maybe trying a pacifier?

    Mine gets them all the time. I have no idea how to make them stop. usually she just cried them out

    I've heard this too.  They hiccup b/c of their immature lungs, and it doesn't cause them any discomfort.  Letting them suck on a pacifier or comfort suck on the breast is supposed to help.  My LO gets hiccups a lot (she did in the womb too) and it bugs DH, he always wants to try and burp her extra.

    Gripe Water is an instant hiccup stopper for DD.  I give her 1/2 the recommended dose, and they are gone immediately!
