I was put on Glyburide about 5 days go and I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Yesterday I took my hubby to work and then had to stop at walmart for a few things. I ate breakfast at 8 that morning and got home at 1 to eat lunch. Well my sugar had gotten low, my hands were shaky and I felt a little dizzy so I made my lunch as fast as possible to get my sugar back up. Well what I wanted to know was if anyones hand has ever gotten tingly or numb when their sugar got low?
Re: Glyburide and low sugar
Yes, that happened to me. I carry a granola bar in my purse now. Did you test yourself before you ate? It didn't occur to me before I ate that it was low sugar, so I didn't, but I should have... more information for the doctors, KWIM?
Did you eat a snack? If I went from 8-1 without eating I have no doubt my sugar would crash hard! Snacks are really, really important. Do you have a dietitian who goes over that stuff with you?
