silly question

Hi I introduced myself earlier today but for those who missed it. I'm a father of 2 kids. Due to my job at the local hospital, I missed out on a lot of my first child's infancy (she's 3 and a half now...gasp) . My second child is almost 6 months and I'm bound to make up for lost time. The reason I'm here is I'm just trying to take the initiative to "learn up" on some things to be more helpful to my wife. She doesn't know I'm here cause I want to sort of suprise her with my new-found skills. The question I have is....Are there a lot of dads on this board? I saw one other dad this morning but other than that...nothing after some cursory lurking. Confused

Dad's (well, men in general) tend to be less dramatic.. there's loads of drama 'roud these parts if you haven't noticed!

Honestly, your the first dad I've noticed! But welcome, I think sometimes a male perspective would be nice!

The only four guys I've ever seen on here can be broken down like this:

1) One posted a serial killer looking ransom note

2) Another had a boob shaking chick in his signature

3) A third told me I should have sex with me husband because I'm lucky he choose me

4) Finally, everyone's fav NY_Dad... he was a weirdo who I'm convinced wanted to kidnap his own child as soon as his girlfriend pushed it out.

So 'normal' guys... I've never seen one in all my years. There is a first for everything I suppose.

Well celemo,it looks like you and I are the only males on the board, and according to some we must not be normal !! HAAAA!!!

Either way, it looks like we'll have to stick together.. I'll be glad to help when I can, and hopefully you can do the same for me, since this being my first child and Im basically going at it alone, Im SURE I'll need your help !! HAAA!!

I didn't want any help from any of the fathers of any of my kids. Didn't ask for it, didn't need it, didn't get it.

LOL You're right, I probably am bitter. Pickings are kind of slim here in West Virginia. I have to compete with sheep for the best men!!

Thanks, the sweater vest actually came with a stick.. To beat the women babies off that were sure to flock to whatever baby was wearing it..

LOL You're right, I probably am bitter. Pickings are kind of slim here in West Virginia. I have to compete with sheep for the best men!!

Well, from what I have seen so far, I cant say I'm surprised they keep choosing the sheep.
