Ok...so DH and I decided one night a week or two ago to try for another baby. It was a very spur of the moment decision and we both felt like we should just go for it and see what happens. I have no idea when I ovulated but I am GUESSING I am about 9dpo. My cycles have been a little screwy lately. So I bought the Walmart Equate Early Preg Test that is clear and gives you a blue line if you are pregnant. So this morning I woke up and, being a former POASaholic, I decided to take one. After the 2 minutes there was a very faint shadow of a line there. It had color to it. So since I had peed in a dixie cup I immediately redipped another test to see if it was just a random shadow or what... Long story short, all 3 of the tests from the box came up with a shadow of a line. No squinting involved in most lighting. But still very faint. I've heard blue dye tests can be very misleading so was wondering if yall had any experience with these tests???? TIA!
Re: XP: BFP with Walmart Equate clear EPT???
My first test came back really light, so I took 3 more, of which one came back again sorta light and 2 came back pretty dark. My dr told me when I called that if 2 or more tests come back positive, same brand or not, you should go in b/c one false positive is probable, but 3?
If I were you I wouldn't be whooping congrats yet, but I would definately be calling my dr to set up a blood test or something. Good luck, you'll be in my prayers.
*edited for my bad spelling the first time around*
With my second baby my tests were all real light and you could barely see anything on them. This time the second my pee hit the stick it was a major positive.
Last time I used the Equate tests. This time I used the Answer tests. Just about the same price, but more sensitive. Try those.
so why didn't you take them this time? you already answered your own question.
Test again tomorrow and see if the line gets darker. But, like pp said, a line is a line. Looks like your PG.
I used the same brand. I took two tests and they were both dark blue.
The doctor said that if you get more than one positive, you are probably pregnant. The chances of both tests being faulty are slim to none.
