motrin or tylenol for ear infection pain?

my dd has her first ear infection :(

    Seriously, I would alternate them.  She is likely going to need it more than once.

    LOL that's what I was going to say. I was told over 6mos use motrin, but I've always used tylenol.

    agreed. I'd alternate. 

    I presume she has antibiotics from the pedi, too, right?  The pain should go away within a day or two of the antibiotics, but if she's running fever with it, you might still need to use the motrin and tylenol.

    I'm a sh!tty mom.  I give her all kinds of dope.  She gets Prilosec, Mylicon, Motrin AND Tylenol. 

    At least I know well enough to never give Benadryl.  I mean, even if she needed it....imagine the consequences!

  • DS has a double ear infection right now.  We are alternating both of them right now.

  • we did motrin, tylenol does not seem to help.
