Dry skin

I think my poor DS inherited sensitive, dry skin from me.  Sorry!  Anyway, what lotion do you use?  My pediatrician suggested Aquafor.  We have used it but it soedn't absorb into the skin and is so thick.  Most of it gets wiped off because his legs are wiggling all around.  He has these little dry patches on his legs and face.  Anything work for you?

  • I'm not a huge fan of Aquaphor as a lotion myself - mainly because of the grease factor. It's like using Vaseline! :) If your LO has sensitive skin maybe try Aveeno's line of baby products? Or I think Neutrogena has a baby line as well - I know they have sunblock for babies!

  • I tried Aquaphor and it works.  It absorbs pretty quickly if you put it on after bath or just before nap.
  • my wife suffers from eczema and our 2 kids have had mild issues with it as well. We use Aveeno....it seems to work rather well
  • My daughter has eczema and I use Aquafor about 3 times a day on her face. But for her body I use Eucerin  moisturizing creme. It is pretty thick, but it stays on better than the Aquafor. Hope it helps! Also, if it is eczema, you can use a little cortizone cream and it helps because it probably itches her, and that will take the itch away.
  • Thanks everyone!
