PIP - Look what dc made!!

image

This week was western week and they handed me this when I picked G up today! So cute!! I love it when they make stuff like this. We already have a drawer full of artwork and he's only 1. LOL!  How do you know what to keep and what to throw away? I'm sure I won't be able to keep everything he brings home forever.

Note: He was wearing pj's b/c it was pj day at school. Smile

  • How cute is that!?! I don't know how you chose what to keep, but I did see some pretty nifty picture frames made for kiddo art that you can change out easily in the sky mall catalog.

  • That is adorable, I love it!   So far, I've kept everything.  I can't bring myself to throw it away. I have a basket full.  I know eventually I'll have to weed through them, but right now, I can't :)

  • How cute!  I have heard somewhere to take a picture of all their artwork and then get it printed in a photobook, doing a book for every school year.  I would keep all of the really good ones too in a box somewhere as I am sure he would love to go through them down the road!

I think I have been reading STFU Parents (blog) too much. I was a little afraid that I would open this and see a poop in a potty.

  • So cute. ?It gets to be a lot the first few years of school, but when they are bringing home so much stuff you weed through some. ?I keep one box of just school stuff and I put each years stuff in a file labeled with the grade.?
  • That is so cute! I can't wait for DD to start at DC so she can interact with other kids and do neat activities like that!

Sometimes I wonder if I annoy people with all the pictures that I post, but then I remind myself that they can filter stuff if they want to.  I'm not one to share my or my kid's pooping history so no one will have to worry about that from me.

Amanda - it was Cowboy Day at T's school too, but they didn't do any artwork.  I've actually had to throw stuff away because we were getting SO MUCH, and I know that she didn't actually do most of it.  I saved my favorites (I save everything with her hand and/or footprint) and the rest got tossed.  I did that right before her first birthday party and the stack was HUGE.  Is Gavin in the Toddler Room yet?  T has been transitioning all week and will start there permanently on Monday.  Sigh.

  • Ditto on the handprint and footprint art. I think that's what I'll be keeping as well. I have even sent a few of them to my mom since she doesn't get to see him that often. G is moving to the toddler room the 1st week in August. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I wish the teachers moved with them.

We got lucky - the teacher in the toddler room used to be in the older infants room and T LOVES HER.  When I got there yesterday afternoon they were wrestling!  I did love the teachers in the infant room, but I had a hard time understanding one of them.  G will do GREAT in the toddler room, I'll bet; T loves it and comes home wiped out, hee.  :D

No way!!! The annoying ones go like this:

Singlefungal- "what a week. I am so tired."

AngryMom- "TIRED???? HAHAHHAHAHAHA Wait till you have kids. Loser."

That crap pisses me off.  I would quickly unfriend anyone who did that; one friend tried to shake her internet finger at me when I posted once about Oreo cakesters - "so gross!  Do you know what's IN those?!?!?!1!" I'm perfectly aware that Oreo Cakesters are not gourmet food and will probably survive a nuclear holocaust - I do not appreciate being embarrassed like that.  A simple "Ew, those are gross" would have been funny and more appropriate - I've got a mother already, I don't need another one.
