chart stalkers....

I have gotten a reading of 97.0 for the last few days... do you think I need a new BBT?  I checked other times of the day to see if I was getting the same reading & it has been different, but I'm thinking that such a consistant temp is odd....  I didn't temp last weekend cause I forgot to bring it with me out of town....

What do you all think?

    That is wierd.  Try it right now.  If you still get a 97 I would say it's time to replace the battery or get a new one.

    It was 98.0 at about 10 am... now it is 97.2 but I did just drink some water about 5 minutes ago...

    Are you using one that reads to the tenth or the hundredth?  For example, if it's giving you 97.0, your actual temp could be 97.0, 97.01, 97.02, 97.03, etc.  Even though the temp may actually be different, the thermometer is not sensitive enough you pick up that difference, so you're getting the same readings.  Know what I mean?

    yep, I have the cheapie... just to the 00.0, not 00.00....

    I think this will be another annovulatory cycle....

    there are a lot of charts on FF that are flat temps. seems to happen but it does seem odd!

    search the chart gallery for "flat temperatures and you'll find a bunch.

    ?you could still get a spike, you never know.?

    I think it is worth investing the $10 in the bbt thermometer.  It will be much more accurate and you won't get so many flat temps.

    This happens to me sometimes, where I get 3 days in a row of flat temps. I try not to think much of it though; the last time I really obsessed over my chart, I regretted it because it does me no good. I did actually by a back up thermometer and battery in case it happens again though, LOL.

    Hmmm, that does seem odd. I did have that happen to me one month. I would say if you took your temp later, and it had a different reading, then it's not broken, just a coincidence. I agree with the other ladies on getting a new thermometer that goes to the?hundredth.

    96.8 this morning...  I guess it was just a fluke I got so many of the same temp...  I will get a BBT for next cycle.  Thanks ladies!
