Somebody fill us all in on the drama today..

It seems like a few of us missed what has happened with some girl talking about adoption and also appears to be BSC. I could use the cliff notes.

    I made a joke that offended everyone about a lady who has a 4 month old and is pg with triplets and i said she should put 2 of them up for adoption.

    Basically someone mentioned a tech at their hospital knew of a woman who had a 4 month old and was surprise! pregnant with twins.

    The jackass known as youngmommy then proceed to suggest she give 2 of the babies up for adoption.

    A 0-6 happens to be in the exact same situation and was really upset.... justifiably... and we all jumped all over YM for her insensitivity and lack of class.

    She then made some wise-ass comments.... then said she was considering adoption... then admitted to lying about considering adoption... then gave a half ass apology consisting of "I'm sorry."

    You attempted to make a joke about putting children up for adoption.  Then told the person you were "joking" about to grow some tougher skin.  Then you "joked" that you had considered adoption yourself. Then you reversed that idea because it didn't cause people to sympathize for you.  Then you tried to apologize...ridiculously. 

    PLEASE don't try to make yourself sound like you made a funny that no one understood.  You FAILED terribly.

    Wow! SLB congrats on your babies and H&H 9 to you!

    Adoption is a very touchy subject. So sad that people think it's okay to joke about.  Having to go through infertility and having that thought that I would never be able to have my own children was hard enough. I still can't believe that I am pregnant again and it happened without help this time. It amazes me.

    Just stopping by from 2nd tri and I agree it is a touchy subject however when I started showing at 8 wks and every swore I was having multiples and someone called me "octo-mom" I said if it were 8 I'd be giving them away at Walmart or 4 to each GP but that was an obvious joke about myself not someone else and their personal situation. Somethings should be left off of the posts on here for the sake of everyones emotions.

    Ok... so the OP was the last post I read and young-mommy's reply was the last one when I logged off. I have seen her post here before, so I assumed she just hadn't read the reply's, not that that would make her comment "funny", but at least she wouldn't have been being a direct douche to another bumpie... But like I said I see her post all the time she has NEVER said anything indicating she was considering adoption...

    Im not sure if the comment was made about the lady at the doctor and she didnt know it was a bumpie here or if it was directed towards said bump.
