And RSI: Rhyme Scene Investigations on Sesame Street.
I just tried to explain to my mom how they were hilarious parodies of popular TV shows on Sesame Street kindly meant to make parents find children's programming less mind numbing.
I reminded her about how when I was growing up they had The Beatles featuring actual beetles that sung about "Letter Be."
My own mother still gave me the "whoa...... you have new parent lameness" side eye. I may, in fact, have new parent lameness. But please tell me I'm not the only one who cracks up at "Law and Order: Special Letters Unit" and "RSI: Rhyme Scene Investigation."
Re: Law and Order: Special Letters Unit.
I haven't seen the RSI episode, but I was totally cracking up at the Special Letters Unit. It was the one where they were looking for the letter 'M'. The end was they best when they were saying how annoying the 'chung chung' sound was and then they kept doing it. Love it.
And I know exactly what you're talking about with the beetles singing 'Letter B'. I'm a big fan of Sesame Street.
LOL! I loved that you had that YouTube clip up STAT! ::: chung chung :::
The parodies are one thing.....but I do sometimes wonder what Sesame Street is thinking with some statements the puppets make like:
Elmo saying "Oh the Noodles, they are real swingers" after Mr. Noodle and his sister Miss Noodle had demonstrated how to take turns swinging on a swing.
