Anyone thinking of a "baby-moon"?

I heard about it a long time ago... I don't know anyone that planned one... but I think it's a good idea.

A baby-moon (ie. vacation before the baby is born to "connect" with DH) sounds like fun to me. Of course I don't know how up to traveling I will be when it gets closer to time.

Is anyone on here planning to do that?

I want to, but I am trying to find inexpensive places that aren't too far away. DBF wants to do Disney but that's way too much walking and I won't be able to go on any of the cool rides Crying

We may just do a long weekend in Florida or maybe just the good ol' Jersey Shore.

We are planning a one night trip somewhere (DH is surprising me), but within driving distance b/c we are trying to stay on a budget. Just a little something special before the baby arrives.

We already had a trip to Hawaii planned for my 30th bday in October. I will be 24 weeks along. It turned out to be perfect, because we probably wouldn't have done anything this big and expensive ( it was already paid for before we got out BFP) if we had known about the pregnancy.

We are really looking forward to a week to relax and reconnect. Especially during the 2nd tri, which I hear is a much easier time

We are going to Hawaii next month - planned before we knew I was pregnant. We are going with my entire family so it's not exactly the most romantic trip. We took a big vacation before I got pregnant so I sort of feel we've already done our traveling for the year. We'll probably do some short weekend trips before baby comes.

I'm trying to talk DH into going to Vegas - I know that wouldn't be a lot of people's first choice for a "babymoon," (hate that term, BTW!), but I love it there! ?And there are good deals, lots of things to do and yummy places to eat. ?Mostly I want some place with a nice pool to relax at

I heard that Vegas had some good deals right now. BF and I are not big gamblers but I could totally dig some pool and spa time and the chance to eat at some nice places...good idea!

DH got some info in about Disney yesterday and I had to explain to him that I wouldn't be able to go on any of the good rides, so that is out. Not sure if we will take one.

My parents have a time share at Myrtle Beach, so we're going with them and my sister and Grandma when I'm 5 months. The bad news is its with the whole fam, the good news is we'll have our own room to get away in.

DH and I are booking a cruise that leaves from here in NY and goes to Bermuda. It's a 5 day cruise and were going in Sept. I'll be in my 4 month at that point.

My parents gave us a cruise earlier this summer and we have to use it before the end of the year. So as long as we can get everything in order before 24 weeks, we'll be going to the Bahamas and DD will stay with my parents. This will be the last time for a while that it will be this easy to pack up and take a trip as just the 2 of us so I'm not turning it down.

We'll probably go to Joshua Tree National Park over New Years for the dual purpose of a baby-moon and avoiding the craziness of the Rose Bowl Parade on New Years Day (we live right on the route). I'll be 7.5 months but it's only a couple hours by car so as long as we've had no problems and the Dr. ok's it... we'll be there.

I'm taking Hubby to a NFL Game in September for his birthday - I'm thinking I might get a hotel room the night before and make it a little get away

But baby on the way means I have to save all my leave from work for after the baby comes - so nothing major for us!

DH would looove to have this opportunity... but is def. not possible..

but instead, we already have booked a week in Playa del Carmen (near Cancun) to attend my cousin's wedding... not exactly planned as babymoon, but for sure it will be the last vacation for ourselves alone..

We have a wedding in South Beach in nov. Hubby and I decided to make a week vacation of it since it will be the last time i will be able to travel until after the baby is born. Alittle nervous about flying while preggo but it will be a short flight from boston to miami.

We didn't do it the first time, since we had just been on our honeymoon a year earlier

This time, we happen to be going to NYC at the end of October, but it's for my 30th bday not a babymoon. It will still be nice to get away for 4 days while my DD stays with grandma and before baby #2 arrives!!

I want to go to a kickass resort in Mexico (Cabo or Cancun/Cozumel) that is definitely an adult place (ie someplace we won't go in the future with a kid in tow).

We happen to be invitied to a Wedding in florida the 1st week in November I will be 28 weeks my dr said if everything is ok i should be able to go It would be really nice before the TWINS come to get to go Keep your fingers crossed for me

Our 1 year anniversary is in November, so we will probably go somewhere for that. If that counts as a babymoon, then yes.

We went to Cancun on one. I was there for weeks 10-11. It was good timing. I felt great. Originally, we had planned to start trying for a baby on that vacation, but tried early after deciding to do so together.
