Belly Laughs is a very funny one. What to expect is good for weekly updates and growth. And Baby bargains is great for when you get into registering mode.

If you are looking for a book that will tell u everything that goes on while pregnant and after having the baby, I will get "Mayo Clinic"....I bought it when I was pregnant cause lots os people recommended it, and had reviews, and once I got it, I was very happy with the content and my purchase.....
You're not the first person that I've heard say this, and I still don't get it. I have it and found it to be full of useful information re: pregnancy. No complaints from me.
Belly Laughs was amusing and a quick read, but not exactly the most informative.
I never found What to Expect very helpful. It wasn't organized very well, in my opinion, and had a lot of worst case scenarios, which will just freak you out more than you already are. I bought and love Mayo Clinic.

Horribly organized and alarmist. There are much much better books out there to spend your hard earned money on, like the Mayo Clinic book. Also, the author has absolutely no medical background.

Okay... I can definitely see the organization point. Although, maybe I'm not a natural "worrier" and missed the alarmist portion. I have the Mayo Clinic book on order (with a few others) so I'll be interested to see how they compare. Thank you!
Your Pregnancy Week by Week (my husband has the one for father-to-be also). My best friend told me to avoid WTEWYE because the whole beginning part is about what could go wrong. Being that I already worry because of another loss, I didn't need any extra on top of that.

After 3 years, 2 losses, 3 rounds of IUI, and one round of IVF, we finally have our dream come true!

Another vote here for Belly Laughs ( i take it to my appointments for the waiting room).. and against WTEWYE.. only because I read it with my first pregnancy (sadly ended in mc).. and it scared the crap out of me! I havent picked it up once this pregnancy..
Im looking for a good journal... I bought PostCards to the Bump (a chick's guide to getting to know the baby in her belly).. and I like it so far..
I love the one I have. I think its called My Pregnancy Week by Week, or something close to that.
I have this one, but I feel like it jumps around a LOT. It's frustrating. My husband and I read each week together, and he's said "wouldn't that information been more useful WEEKS ago" on several occasions.
My friend just bought me The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy. I just started it, but I like it so far.
"Cool as Hell like e-mail, but still timeless like a letter."

The ones that I've liked so far are Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy, Mayo clinic guide to pregnancy, and Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy.

I love My Pregnancy week by week. Short, informative chapters that I read the day my week changes. Not all-inclusive though.
I know I'm in the minority, but I hated Belly Laughs. JM spend the book whining and it annoyed the hell out of me.
OH!!! And Baby Bargains! It's amazing for helping with decisions about furniture, strollers, car seats, and so much more.
