Delivering and BWH
I am due to deliver at BWH in January. Anyone else delivered there and can give me a little preview of what to expect? Thanks!

I delivered there. My delivery nurse was awesome and there was another nurse there that i really liked as well. The food was surprisingly decent. The only thing that I really didn;t like was the fact that after check in when they wheeled me up to triage to assess my progress I had to wait in the triage waiting room for like 15min. Having to sit there and wait with 2min apart contractions was not fun. I finally told MH to go get someone before I kill someone. When they finally brought me in I was already 5cm dialated.
The delivery rooms are on floor 5 and they are private. Then they take you up to the recovery rooms on floors 7-9.
I was induced there...So I went in a 5am (4cm), got registered. Took me to my delivery room on the 5th floor right away and had a great team of nurses & doctors throughout the day. They broke my water, epi and pitosin. Once DD arrived, we waited a couple hours till everything was clear to go up to our recovery room.
I suggest bringing comfortable pillows & blankets for whoever stays in the room with you. My hubby was uncomfortable sleeping in the cot provided but then again he's a big guy 6'5. Oh and bring baby wipes! They have wash cloths in the room-which were really abrasive on my DD, she ended coming home with a little diaper rash from it. Other than that everything was good the service, food, nurses & doctors...get lots of sleep while your there. Good Luck!
I delivered there and the experience was great. The actual experience was good. I was there two nights prior to delivery due to some weird pain that had nothing to do with labor and sent me home. I didn't appreciate that. I was only 8 months. They later told me that they shouldn't have sent me home. I had some difficulties and they realized that ealry on and had me delivered safely. I'm grateful for that. The food was surprisingly decent... I should have had more while in being served to me only a phone call away..although they missed something in my order each time.
