My SIL has highly recommended Dr. Nichols (who practices at NAMC with ADC, I think) for a pediatrician. Any of you moms have any experience with him (her??)...good or bad? Any feedback?
We use her and really like her so far. A couple of the nurses, not so much. She's really supportive of our CDing and BFing and answers all of our questions thoroughly.
We see Dr. Nichols and like her fine. We don't love her nurses, and the after hours on-call nurse service failed to call us back twice - once when it was pretty serious.
We complained to Dr. Nichols - she was very apologetic and assured us that should never happen (and wouldn't happen again), but unfortunately it did. The second time was for a less serious ailment, but that shouldn't matter.
This, and the fact that I don't love her nurses, are my main complaints, but Dr. Nichols herself is fine. That said, she has been my nephews' pedi for 8 years and my SIL loves her.

I'm suprised to hear about the on-call nurses. That is my favorite part of their office, I can always talk to a nurse. I've used their on-call nurses and they've always called me back and have been very helpful. I haven't needed to use them recently so maybe things have changed?

Yeah - my SIL has never had a problem with them, maybe we've just got bad luck. The day nurses have always called back, it's the service at night that has been unreliable.
Re: Dr. Nichols (pediatrician) feedback?
We used to go to Dr. Nichols and switched, I'd be happy to tell you more about why via email michelle dot boss at gmail.com
Hmmm, I've seen her couple time with sick visits and was happy with her. Our doctor is Worrel.
Michelle, was your issue with her or the office/nurses?
I'm curious, too. Because we've only been going for a few months and I'm wondering if we should be on the look out for something?
Just with Dr. Nichols, to summarize she just wasn't a good fit for our family.
