Help me! (non-napper)

I am not of the CIO method, so I don't want to let my LO CIO to sleep, but he won't go to sleep unless he is being nursed. I am trying to get some play in between sleeping (so I don't put him down right after eating), but this kid won't sleep. He is tired, yawning, red eyes, etc, but he won't sleep. If I put the boob in his mouth he'll sleep though.

STTN isn't a problem.

How do I get him to just go to sleep?

Oh, and he won't take a soother either.

He's just over 2 months old.

Re: Help me! (non-napper)

  • I still have to rock DS to sleep but, it helps if I put a paci in his mouth and hold him in the same position as if he were nursing. ?I think it comforts him and helps him sleep. ?Sometimes it takes me up to 30 minutes to get him down for a nap, but it's slowly getting better.

Also when DS was 2 months, I wore him in the Moby for most of his naps. ?That was one of the only things that kept me from going insane.?

  • I used to turn the vent fan on the microwave on high and stand next to it with DS. The loud white noise works like a charm.
