And it was a 6. I am so relieved. At least we have one thing going for us. After the list of fixable defects that I was told I had yesterday I was glad for some good news. I spent some time with Dr. Google yesterday and it seems that I have the lesser of the MTHFR and Factor V issues so we'll see.
DH's SA results were great for volume and motility but the morphology was "abnormal". The RN was explaining that it would be hard for the sperm to penetrate the egg. But I'm wondering if it wasn't a fluke, I mean with the 2 CPs in the first 5 months of trying that really surprised me. Oh well, DH has started taking more vitamins and we'll see what the RE says early next month. I'm thinking it would be good for him to have another SA either next month or the month after to see if things have improved.
Anyone have any tips on improving morphology? Or have MTHFR and or Factor V Leiden?
Re: FSH & SA results are in
Yaay for 6!! Woo-Hoo! My DH had wierd morphology the first SA and then this last time it normal...go figure?? I did put him on a muti vitamin and he gets his when I get my PN...I take credit for that being what "fixed" the boys...haha! I agree with you that the 2 CP's make it seem strange that his morphology was off.
I'm so happy you are getting the answers you need!!!
I have MTHFR with 2 common mutations and Pie 1 (not correct spelling, but that is how it is pronounced).
A friend has MTHFR with 2 different mutations and Factor V and Pie 1 (sp?).
These are all different types of blood clotting disorders and affect the ability to get pg and/or maintain a pg.
We both take Folguard prescription.
She has used lovenox when trying to get pg via IVF and I will take it if I do IVF again.
oh, my DH has morph and motility issues.
he started taking Fertility Blend for Men (found at GNC) and his results improved a little bit.
Have also heard that Fertiliaid brand is a good vitamin for guys too, but I think I could only find it via internet.
Thanks ladies!!! I'm hoping we get that BFP that sticks soon too.
And Joyful - I felt like a teenager when I got the result, such a sigh of relief.
