I saw in your post below that you went to Penn Health at Radnor.  Who did you see there that specialized in PCOS?  I went there for DD but wasn't that impressed and was thinking of looking for somewhere else when we TTC#2.  Maybe I just need to see another dr. at that practice.

Re: **MainLineEsbee**

  • Dr. Maureen Kelly of Penn Health for Women at Radnor came recommended to me from Dr. Ronald Feinberg of Christiana Hospital's Reproductive Associates of Delaware.(Found Dr. Feinberg via the PCOS forum -- www.soulcysters.net -- he wrote a book on PCOS, which he refers to as 'Syndrome O." (See Amazon.com)

Prior to Dr. Feinberg, I'd seen Dr. Michael Glassner of Main Line Fertility, who I would not recommend unless you were looking for an IVF expert (I've heard from multiple women who had successful IVF treatments & babies under his care.)

While I'm making recommendations, I'd like to add that I also am a fan of Letrozole. If you don't fancy clomid (and who could with the hot flashes?) it was a great alternative for me. I especially liked that there was a lower risk of multiple follicles. And it got me pregnant on the first cycle we tried it.

    Good Luck with #2 Alli!

  • Thanks, I will have to try Dr. Kelly when I go back.   Yeah I was on Clomid for 3 cycles and it didn't work for me, and the side effects were horrible so I will look into Letrozole to get more information.
  • Have you had any ultrasounds yet, since having the baby? I've heard that sometimes just the experience of having a baby can reduce/undo some of the ovary-issues, because having a baby (and all the hormonal changes that go with it) can be like hitting restart on your reproductive system.

No I haven't yet.  I am still breastfeeding, so I haven't gotten to the point of getting ready to go back to the dr. or on drugs yet. I have heard that too, that it kind of fixes itself after getting pregnant.  I am hoping that happens with me, but I don't want to get my hopes up.
