Depo-Provera Costs vs. Pills

I got the shot yesterday for the first time.  Our insurance doesn't cover it, so it cost us $50.  My question is for those who also get this shot, or have in the past...What did your doctor charge for your office visit to receive the shot each time?  And do you think it's comparable in price (shot+dr visit) to the pill...or do you think it's more or less?

    I think your insurance should cover your doctor visits... well if you have a copay that should be all you pay.

    Isn't the shot every 3 months? I pay $10 for each pack of my pills.... I get them in 3 packs so that's $30 every 3 months. That's how my insurance works though, yours might be different. You should probably call your provider and see what's best.
