if you have a pet. what vacumn do you have?

i vcaumn twice a day and my ds still manages to find dog hair and eat it. UGH!

I reeeeeeeeeaaaally want a ds but hate to spend the money. Are there any other vcaums that are just as good?

We have the Dyson Animal (DC 17 I think)...unfortunately, its so worth it. We had an Orek prior to the Dyson and you would not believe what the Dyson picked up that the Orek missed. Maybe you could find a refurbished one at a vacuume shop?

Bissel pet hair eraser vacuum. We got ours at Sears for around $180 about a year or a year & a half ago so I'm sure it's cheaper now that it's not so new. I LOVE it. We do animal rescue and have 2 dogs and 1 cat. IMO this is a fabulous vacuum.

Oh and my mom recently got the Dyson ball, non animal one, and she really likes it. I think it costs a little less than the Animal and it does a great job, the only downside might be that the canister is smaller.

I have a Kirby. It is wonderful, definitely the best vacumm I have ever owned. It picks up EVERYTHING and I have all the attachments to do the sofas, cat beds, vents, hardwood floor, etc. But it was pricey, about $1100.

Dyson- I love it but I also have to vacuum 1x a day. Make sure you're feeding a high quality food. The fuminator (brush) also helps. I also give my dog a fish oil pill once a day to reduce shedding.

A dirt devil, it's orange, I just got it because I thought it was pretty when I was in college. I suppose it helps that I have a poodle and he doesn't shed much.

dyson!!! got one 'refurbished' from Overstock.com....good deal and it works super good. would never go back to an 'ordinary' vacuum.

I have this one and love it! It has a pet hair "magnet" at the front that attracts all pet hair. It works really well!
