I found out on a Wednesday that I had lost the baby, had a D&C on Thurs. and went back to work on Monday. I honestly could have used a few more days off. I wasn't really ready to face anyone, but I was glad to get that part over with. I wish now I had taken a few more days...

I had a natural m/c on a Monday and took that day off as well as the following day. I was back to work on Wednesday. I don't think it would have helped me to take any more time off as I would have just been home alone.
I took one week off from work. I actually go back to work tomorrow night and I'm a little nervous. I don't know if I'm ready yet but I have to go back at some time. Last Tuesday I learned the baby had died and had my d&c on Wednesday. Wednesday night I felt so relieved it was all over that I thought I could go back to work the next day. Boy, I was glad I didn't. I was such a mess on Thursday. I realized I needed that time off to recover physically and mentally.
I just took a day for my D&C and then I went back.

We had 2 years of IF trying to conceive #2 and one loss during that time. We are currently trying for #3! had another loss the end of June
I took a week off to have the induction and to rest a few days. My mother was staying with us and my husband also took a couple of days off during that time. I returned the next week only because I couldn't stand the thought of being home alone with my thoughts. I also wanted to get back to a semi-normal routine as soon.
I teach school, so I guess I was "lucky" to have this happen during summer vacation. It was actually a good thing in the sense that I wanted to be alone and not talk to anyone for a while. I could totally avoid anyone I wanted to. I actually felt fine the day after the D&C, just a little tired. By the time three days had passed, I felt very normal and was able to do every day things. I hope your first day back at work goes well. Stay strong!

I had the week off already so I had my D&C on Tuesday and went camping with my family on Thursday. It was nice to take some time off before I went back. Only a few people at work new I was PG and they had all been informed about the m/c before I returned.
