I hope i dont get in trouble i posted this on two other boards but i'm doing this for my sister. Her shower is this sunday and she forgot to look into audio monitors. Her first choice is a video but if she doesn't get it she wants to get a audio one. The one i have is no longer in the stores so she asked if i could post and see what gets recommended the most and she will look into it and put on her registry.
Thanks for reading and helping out.
Re: Could you rec your baby audio monitors
This is the one we got :

We love it. The range is excellent and you can hear everything. Also I've heard some monitors have problems if there's a wireless network in the home. This one works even if there's a wireless network.
We have the fisher price private connection monitor. picks up sound really well, and it lights up also, so you don't have to turn it up if you're watching a movie or something
Oh, and the receivers plug in as well as take batteries. So it's nice not to have to mess with them if you're going to leave it in the same place. We just keep ours in the living room (he's still in bassinett in our room so we just use it when he's in there and we're not).
We have this one as well. It works great and the battery lasts forever!
We have a Fisher Price 900 mhz Monitor. I like it, and as someone else already pointed out, the light-up feature is handy. The lights show you visually how much noise the monitor is picking up, so you can monitor your baby while your vacuuming, across the room, watching TV, etc.
**The monitor shown is not the exact one that I have, but I can't find mine. I'm thinking maybe they updated the look of the monitor or something.
