XP- Muffin Tin Meals

I made a Muffin Tin Meal for K for dinner tonight. It was really fun! A girl on 12-24 posted the idea last week and will be posting weekly check ins for those who want to participate. I have more info in my blog about where it originated and why to do it, and thought I'd post the idea here, too, since it was so much fun :)?I took my inspiration from his most favorite book right now, Brown Bear, Brown Bear and decided to fill the cups with food to represent the colors of (most of) the animals in the book.Starting in the upper left, a brown "bear" shaped sammich, watermelon to represent the red bird, banana to represent the yellow duck, milk in a blue sippy to represent the blue horse, avocado to represent the green frog, shredded mozz to represent the white dog, goldfish crackers to represent the goldfish. I skipped the purple cat and black sheep for the sake of room and since I didn't have anything appropriate.I read the story to him at dinner, which he loved, and pointed out the different colors. It was pretty fun!?

Ditto.  And I need to get away from the frozen food crap that's so easy to feed her.

    Great idea!

  • Seriously, this is an awesome idea! It gives them a good variety of foods with different nutritional values too, which is sometimes difficult especially with picky-eaters.
