IVF drug weight gain

I knew that IVF drugs can cause weight gain, but this feels like it's getting ridiculous!  I can literally feel my belly getting bigger by the minute.  My super fat pants (which have always been loose, even on the worst days) are now tight - and not just in the belly!  My thighs now are spreading across my entire office chair and the arms of a suit jacket that fit me a week ago are now too tight.  Is this normal??  I've heard that the weight gain gets worse after retrieval.  I'm not there yet.  I've done a little stress eating, but it hasn't been too bad b/c I'm actually not that hungry and nothing seems appealing.  I haven't been working out at all.  The RE and acupuncturist told me that i could do 30 minutes of walking per day, but I haven't been doing anything for fear of "messing things up." I keep telling myself that this is all for a good cause, but how bad is this going to get??

    Oh, no. I didn't know that.   I start IVF with the drugs in two weeks. I'm already wearing my superfat pants now.  I better start some sort of exercise regime in the meantime.

    Yes, my ass has expanded!!!! I bought pants that ended up being too tight within a week of buying them...talk about depressing. It's mostly concentrated in my belly, thigh, butt area. Oh, and my boobs have become ginormous. Not only are we sad and depressed about IF itself, we take medications that cause depression and weight gain, which makes us sadder, then we get even more depressed about the weight gain. Such a vicious cycle.

    Not to make it worse, but, I've seen posts on the SAIF board in which girls say they loose the baby weight right away, but still have trouble loosing the extra pounds gained from IVF.

    I hate to tell you... but the weight loss ticker at the bottom is from IF weight gain- primarily IVF.

    35 pounds of it :(

    The weight gain part really stinks! ?I am taking birth control pills this time before I start with the other IVF drugs(just started Lupron last night)....I weighed myself the other day and I had gained 10 lbs! ? What the heck!!! ?I have been so good at eating healthy and going for walks and keeping active that I almost threw the scale out the window!!!! ?Since I started with my 1st IUI last Sept, I think I have gained a total of 20lbs! ?Not fun!

    I gained 20 lb. trying to conceive my DD. Only gained 22 during pregnancy, but by 6 weeks PP lost the 22lb.  Now 6 months later, still here. Those stubborn IF lbs. are  here to stay. I guess it is my badge of stuggle :(.

    I could have written this response.  I started working out a few days ago to lose the weight gained during my IVF.  I gained 10 lbs during one IVF cycle.  Mine is in my a$$ and belly.  Along with my BFFN I got a spare tire for no additional charge. 

    Im sorry that this post got so negative:(    Im sure when we are all holding our babies all this will be worth it!

    It's definitely not fun! I've gained about 10 since Feb and I'm looking forward to see how much I gain with IVF.
