I put Connor's toddler bed together last night and we got it in his room right before bed time. That was probably a bad thing on our part because all Connor wanted to do was play on it for a while. After a good 15 minutes of play it was bed time. I've always held Connor until he falls asleep so I figured last night was as good a night as any to work on him laying down by himself. He would lay down but get right back up. After about 20 times of this I layed down in his bed with him (but didn't hold him) and he finally fell asleep after about 5 minutes. I woke up around 5:45 and noticed in the monitor that he wasn't in his bed. I went to check on him and he was curled up on the pillow that I had laid on the floor in case he rolled off. I put him back in the bed and he was good to go until I woke him up this morning. So, all in all I would say it was a successful first attemp. Hopefully tonight will go even better. He is officially a big boy now ::tear::

Re: Night 1 in the big boy bed = success
My Sweet Girls
Sounds great! ?It was a lot like how ours went, except it was night two I found DD on the floor sleeping away, totally unphased at falling out of bed.
I hope tonight goes just as well
?
Yay Connor!
I don't think we're ever putting Ben in a big boy bed. Maybe once he outgrows his crib? Me and Bif are dreading that transition.
