Back from U/S ... PIP the little bean!

We actually got our EDD moved up two days to 2/15/10. It is measuring right on track at 9 weeks 1 day, heart rate was 167 BPM.

The only not-so-great thing is that I apparently have two large-ish fibroids. The doctor thinks I have had them for a long time and just never knew. She thinks they are outside the uterus, though, so they shouldn't take up any valuable uterus real estate. She says if they grow too big I could be in for some major cramps, but other than that, I should be okay. I might need them removed post-pregnancy.

But for now I'm hoping they don't continue to grow, and I'm focusing on the healthy little bean in there.

Hooray for the bean! Sorry to hear about the fibroids.

Also, I couldn't see the PIP...it might just be me.

Congratulations, very exciting news, I'm sure you are relieved.

They found a large fibroid on my right side at my first appointment as well. She said not to worry, they are very common, and most likely will not impact the pregnancy. She will have the location determined when I go to the hospital for the NT scan.
