TTC after 35

Back from follie check...

...it didn't go as well as I hoped.  I have between 6 & 7 follies...I was hoping for more.  My biggest fear is that we won't get a lot of eggs and none will fertilize.  He's keeping my meds the same so hopefully that helps us see some improvement.

I know it only takes one...and I am trying to stay positive :)

Re: Back from follie check...

  • I was waiting for your update.

Like you said, it only takes one. And I bet those meds will help.

You are a wonderful person with a great attitude and deserving of every good thing.

    Hand in there Char!

  • I was watching for your post all day.

I hope keeping the meds the same helps your with your follie growth.  I know it would be nice to have more than 6 or 7 but like you said it only takes one.  Stay positive, I'm sending tons of follie growing dust your way.

  • Left Hug::hugs:: Right Hug  We are all here for each other. Some days are better than others. And although today may not seem as great as others, you have some follies that are growing and I just know there are going to be more at your next check.

I hate when I hear this myself, but....in addition to it only takes one, it's also quality over quantity. Good luck and I'm sending you BIG FAT EGG vibes!!!

  • Hi, Char.

Sorry to hear you're disappointed. You are right to try and stay positive, though. You could have a VERY high percentage of those follies produce eggs that go on to fertilize.

Tom Petty certainly was right: The waiting IS the hardest part.

    But you're not alone, girlie!

    We're here for ya.

I am sorry you are disappointed, but that is not a bad #!

I know it is hard to stay positive as all of this takes such an emotional toll on you... but things are going to be okay!

    GL!!!

  • I will stay positive for you!!!! You are RIGHT, it only takes one!

    ?

  • You're early in your stim process, right?  There's still lots of time!  My first follie check I had nothing measureable going on.  Best wishes for continued growth of the follies you saw and more to come up!
  • Char - Im sorry that you are disappointed with the number.  It is so difficult and stressful waiting to see how you respond to the meds.
I see on your siggie that you started stims on 7/11 - there is still a lot more time for your follies to grow.  On the TTTC board I remember reading posts from girls who had follies pop up out of no-where.
It also sounds like your RE wasnt too concerned since he didnt increase your dose.
Hang in there and keep us posted at the next monitoring apt.

Sending mountains of follie growing majic and positive vibes.

  • Oh Char...sorry your follie check was disappointing.  I don't really know too much about the IVF side of things, but like the previous poster (Mrs. Kario) said it seems like things must be OK since the doc. didn't change your meds.

Good luck honey...sending you lots of follie dust...I'll be thinking about you.

  • Thank you so much for all your support! It means a lot to have you ladies to share with!  Today has been an overall sucky day...you guys have made it brighter, so thank you!

I have to keep reminding myself that it is early and that I am only on day 4 of stimming....I think it just goes back to my need of instant gratification...I just need to be patient....I was just hoping my ovaries would act more like they were 25 then their real age! Wink
