I know I don't post much, but I totally find myself judging by post count. Sometimes when something really dumb is posted I look over, and sure enough, they haven't posted hardly at all. Just my random, bored thought of the day . . .
Eh, I'm kind of the opposite, I guess. I sometimes find myself thinking that people with tons and tons of posts must have too much time on their hands. I just don't see the point in trying to reach gold or platinum or whatever, you know?

But to each her own.
You'd be amazed how entertaining this place can be when you're on restricted activity or bedrest! LOL.

Most of us have been around for a very long time, hence high post counts.

Ditto- been around for 2 1/2 years since I got engaged. I guess I lurk a lot.
I've been around for a couple of years.. Mostly on the destination board before I got married but I recently changed my name because AmyIsGettingMarried didnt really suit me anymore!

Ditto and really you can't judge by the stupid new "newbie, bronze, silver, gold, platinum" crap because those of us who have been posting for a long time lost all of our old posts with the format change-over.

This is a good observation.

I seem to trust the advice of people who have a higher post count.
I hardly post at all, so I may be one of said posters you are commenting about.?

Nah, I'm talking more about people who post way less. Also, more about those who never lurk, but jump right into the pool.

Good point.
