I thought surely I'd not get called, but no such luck! And, the trial is expected to run until at least Wednesday. It's weird to know that someone's fate rests in my (and the others') hands!. At least I know I can't be called for at least 2 more years.

'fraid not.
My Sweet Girls
I'll be honest--while it is kind of tedious and inconvenient, it's kind of interesting!
But really..what else do I have to do? hehe.
I don't get to pick Holly up this week from DC, which kind of makes me sad though. :-(
Will you be a "rural juror?"
(yeeeah 30 Rock)
DH had jury duty this December... he also found it tedious & inconvenient but interesting. Oh and you get a SWEET paycheck too... I think 3 days of work earned him a whopping $52. So yeah, if you get bored, think of all the ways you could spend the money you're earning.
LOL! DH and I have been saying that all day!
On a related note, it was amazing how many different pronunciations of "juror" I heard today---"jurrer," "jurr," "jew-ror"... Good times.
Yes, in these difficult economic times, I'm totally looking forward to blowing that $52 with a completely clear conscience. hehe.
