I figure I should get serious about looking for a Daycare now, but I don't want to just start flipping through the yellow pgs. Does anyone have a rec for good daycares either in the Las Colinas area or Euless/Grapevine border - 121 & Glade area? Any help would be greatly appreciated...TIA!!
Re: Daycare recs
My Lily goes to Children's Courtyard off of Glade Rd...right by 121.
They are AWESOME!!! It is so clean and friendly and warm.
I'd be happy to meet you there to do a walk through to show you everything. I do pick up every night around 5-5:30.
Seriously Lily has been in 3 places and this is by far the best. She was out last week since my Mom was here from out of state and she was so excited to be back to her Miss Psasha and Miss Rachel.
Let me know if you have any specific questions as I'd be happy to answer them.
Good luck!
Oh and I hate to say this but if you do decide to check out Children's Courtyard could you let them know I sent you (Snow family)? They give a tuition credit if anyone registers based upon our recommendation.
the good news is that if you come based upon a recommendation you also get a tuition credit (I think mine was $50 off for first four weeks)
Here's a list of what they have that the other places didn't:
-A code at the door to get in (it stays locked at all times)
-A great front lobby that is clean and warm
-A HUGE playground with big trees and lots of grass for the kids with decks to play on if the ground is wet
-They have special things all the time (Summers they do stretch and grow, gymnastics, music, etc...) during the year they have a musician come once a week to sing to the kids
In the Las Colinas area... I'm not a huge help for infant care because we didn't move here until DD was 1 year old, and then, we did in-home care for a year. (Her old sitter just had a baby and is not watching kids anymore.)
I will say that our favorite daycare center that we looked at was the Bright Horizons at Walnut Hill Rd & Macarthur Blvd. (Just south of 114 on Macarthur.) We were very, very close to putting our daughter there both when we initially moved and then again just a few months ago. One of my friends had her daughter there a few years ago and liked it. It'll probably be our top choice if we decide to do daycare with this new baby.
A little further afield, I liked Discover and Share, which is at Macarthur & Beltline, right on the border of Coppell and Irving/Valley Ranch. There's also a Creme de la Creme in Coppell on Denton Tap Rd -- I dunno, I wasn't a huge fan, but everyone I know who sends their kids there LOVES it.
