That is early but I also believe that any internal before 40 weeks is pointless anyway. Luckily, my doc is also in line with that belief.

Nope, no concern. He starts them that early for everyone! I'll guess I'll probably go ahead and let him do one at 32 weeks. Based on the experience, I'll decide whether I will let him continue with them or if I will decline them. This is my first baby so I have no idea what I'm in for. Guess I will find out soon enough!
I had one around then because I kept having contractions and pains so they checked me...Then my next one was at 34 weeks when they did my gbs test...i was dilated since 36 weeks and have been the same since
My Dr started at 36 weeks and said that it's good to know where you're at in case anything comes up like the pp said with contractions or pain. I'm personally all for knowing what's going on!
I have the option to start them at 32 weeks but it is up to me. I'm not starting untill 36 if not later. I keep dilating with DD and would be told he didn't expect to see me after the weekend. After that happening a few times I quit believing it and still ended up being induced. I'd almost rather not know how far I have progressed.
that's really early! i had my first last friday at 36 weeks. it was nice to know that i wasn't open at all b/c i had been feeling like he was trying to come out.

That is so early! I would say no, personally. My doc has offered to do one this week along with my GBS test and I've already said no thanks.
GL!

mine doesn't do them at all, but perhaps yours has a concern that they want to monitor and thats why they are starting earlier?
Same here.
