I agree. Amya to me looks like it would be pronounced similarly to Anya (awn-ya). Very pretty name though.

Sorry, I don't like it. It looks made-up (even if it isn't, it looks it to me). I wouldn't know how to pronounce either--Amaya could be Ah-may-uh or Ah-mai-uh Amya could be Omm-yah or Aam-yah. Nms.

I wouldn't pronounce those two names the same. The first one has three syllables and the second only has two. I prefer Amaya.

It was on my list- I like it, I had difficulty choosing the spelling, too. I decided to use Amaya if we went with the name- for the same reason stated above- too many people would say Am-ya for the other. =P
