Okay, I sware that my bump was bigger before. I think that maybe the bloating went away and now there doesn't seem like much left. I do have a little bump but with a big shirt you can't even tell and it mostly feels like fat (altough I can't suck it in). Is this what happens when the bloat goes away? I know it's kind of silly, but I'd rather show and look pregnant than just like I've put on a few. I'm also a little worried that I haven't gained enough weight yet. Since finding out we were expecting I gained 7 lbs. and since then I've lost a few, making my total gain like 5 lbs. I read Dr. Luke's book and i get nervous and now I am getting on the scale daily and it literally goes up and down by the day. I guess I could eat more, but I eat when I'm hungry which is 3x per day plus snacks. Am I crazy or should I just relax about it.
Re: My bump seems smaller & weight gain
Relax about it!
For a while, I felt like I was rockin' a big ol' beer belly - then one day I looked pregnant!!
As far as the scale, it still goes up and down for me. I'll usually weigh myself before bed and then by the morning I've dropped 4-5 lbs! I had to stop worrying about it and I just go by what my OB's scale says I weigh when I go in for checkups because it's usually at the same time each day on the same scale.
I think you're totally fine. I was pretty sick during my first tri and by 14 weeks I was down from my pre-pg weight. Even with that, I was at Dr. Luke's recommended 24 lbs by 24 weeks. I just could eat all of a sudden.
I had OHSS so I was terribly bloated and I don't think I really looked pg until 16 weeks. The babies growing balanced out the bloat as it went down. I definitely just looked like I gained a few. It sucked, but most people go through it.
After a PCOS dx, 18 months of trying, 3 rounds of clomid and 2 follistim IUIs our babies are here!
