I went in for my CD3 testing today. They drew blood, gave me the pleasure of a date with the dildo cam, and then we (the RN and I) went over some of my results from my previous blood work.
So here is what I know/learned. On CD 3 ovaries should have between 8-18 follies. Mine had 13. One of my ovaries only had 4 of those but they didn't seem concerned about it so I'm not going to either. My ovaries are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Now I wait for the call to let me know how my FSH is. They said they'd call with the results this afternoon. Also it was cool to see all of my inside girlie parts.
I tested positive for MTHFR, I have 2 copies of A1298C. So what does that mean? It means that I will be taking 2 Folgard pills everyday. Apparently my body doesn't want to absorb folic acid. This I will be starting right away.
I also have a slightly under active thyroid....I've been waiting for someone to tell me this my whole life. She wasn't sure if they are going to treat it because it wasn't too low but we'll see what the RE says when we meet early next month.
And I tested positive for Factor V Leiden, which is a clotting disorder, so it looks like there will be some blood thinners in my future too.
Per the RN all of the above issues could have caused the CPs. The positive news in all of this is that all of the above can be fixed.
Now I'm waiting for the phone to ring with my FSH results and hopefully DH's SA results too.
Oh and I'm supposed to be working but I think I'm going to have an impromptu date with Dr. Google.
Re: CD3 Testing and then some - long
Wow-you got a lot of information-and it's great that everything can be fixed!!
Yay!! Lots of information to absorb and understand but I'm glad that it seems all managable!
That is great news! So glad you have made progress and good luck with the FSH results.
Wow, that it is a lot of information. But at least the ovaries are working!
I have an under-active thyroid, so if you need any advice or info on that front, let me know. I've been dealing with it for about 15 years now, so I've a bit of a self-professed expert.
Yahoo, it can all be fixed is the greatest news!
GL with the SA and FSH results. I am SO FREAKING happy you've got a plan!
LOL! I've had more dates with it than I care to remember. But I suppose it is for the greater good.
I'm glad they are finding reasons and issues that can be fixed. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Thanks ladies, I don't think I've ever been so happy to get not such great news. It is nice to know what the issues are and that we can work on getting them fixed.
Oh they phone just rang and I got all excited, it was some "toll free" folks that have been stalking me for about a month now.
