Firing the Avent bottle

I cannot get them to stop leaking.  I've tried every suggestion found on the internet and none have worked.  DH drenches DS every night on his shift bc of leaking bottle so we're having to go thru two sleepers every night.   Now that I've decided to toss these bottles, what do you gals recommend?  Baby is breastfed and tends to be a little gassy.

    Before you pitch them, have you tried them with the Dr. Brown's wide mouth bottle nipples?  I was given a bunch, so I tried them with the Avent bottles - NO leaks.  Crazy.

    Also, we gave the playtex nursers with the nautural shaped nipples a try last night - Chloe loved them, and we had zero leakage.

    I started with the Avent bottles too.  I hate them.  They are horrible.  DD is also gassy so I switched to Dr. Brown's.  All the parts are a pain but they work great for DD and I have never had problems with leaks.

    I tried to use a wide natural latch platex nipple but couldn't get it to fit the avent.  Switching out the nipples would be cheaper than buying all new bottles.  Thanks for that tip!

    DD didn't like the Avent bottles so we switched to Playtex Drop-Ins and we haven't had any issues.

    We go back and forth from Avents to Drop Ins.  Drop Ins are great but it takes TJ too long to eat with the slow flow and the medium is too fast right now.  So we are using Avent again and they work great for us.

    hated the avent bottles and have switched to Dr Browns. no leaking! but DD has reflux so the gas is always an isssue

    Dr Browns. J would tolerate the Avent until we switched to Dr Browns, now he goes apesh!t if I try to feed him with the Avent bottle. We are rocking the Dr Browns widemouth now without any problems.
