WWYD .. RE: Babysitter drama.. kinda long.. oops

So my babysitter arrives today and yells up the stairs "hey V her boyfriend is with me, hope thats ok"

Ummm.. well lets see.. I guess its ok.. would have been nice of you to ask... so whatever, i leave to go to work..

I am at work and get a text from my babysitter saying hey just keeping in touch we walked over to the mall. I look outside and its raining, and windy as ***.. so first off i am annoyed that it had been overcast all day, why would you think going on a walk is a good idea.. not to mention a 40 min walk to the mall.. secondly why are you at the mall..

i am just annoyed that she did this, she has never done this before.. I felt like she was trying to entertain her boyfriend.

So i go home from work get the carseat drive to the mall and get them all and bring them back to my house. On the way home i am discussing how things went for the day.

That morning i was talking with her about encouraging C to eat at least 5oz if she seems bored to try again in 5 minutes and that i am putting her down for naps ever two hours.. etc.. things that we needed to touch bases on Again! so she tells me that she ate 2oz the first feeding then napped for thirty minutes then had ate 5oz oz three hours later.. but had only had the one nap.. by the time i got her home she was exhausted and starving.. she had gone over three hours without a nap.. something we never do..i am just annoyed.. i didnt say anything cause she needed to get to work and we are such good friends but i am so frustrated.. ok by starving a i mean she definitely latched on for a good four minutes before falling asleep eating when she had ate thirty minutes prior.. she was happy when i got to the mall and was in a clean diaper and all smiles...

Am i overreacting... WWYD?? sorry this got so long!

I wouldn't ask her to babysit again if she won't honor your wishes.

if you cannot agree on a routine, you should find someone else. although kids are ok with different styles of doing things, routine is important (IMO) to give order to their lives and keep you sane. GL !

thanks ladies.. thats what we decided as well.. and my SO hates her boyfriend thinks he's a douche and does not want him in our house! so that really decided it for him.. i have another person already lined up i just need to have her over to make sure she is going to be ok with everything.. like CD..etc

I'd be really upset. But since it is the first time, maybe I'd give her a strong warning. But then again, I wouldn't want to wait to see what happens a second time.

I would sit down with her and discuss what you want her to do while she is watching your child. If she cant take direction then you need to find someone else
