Who else could possibly get KO'd (Semi-Rant)

DH's sister- due in August with her 2nd girl

DH's cousin- due in October with her first, a boy. We found out we were pregnant a week after she told everyone, and I felt a little guilty for stealing her thunder.

Me- Due in December with a boy.

And today, DH's other Aunt emails me to let me know that- surprise!- His cousin's wife is pregnant with their 5th child, 4th boy. I'm a little annoyed, mostly because his cousin just recently started working again and they have been living off the government for a while, and have had a new child every year that DH and I have been together (three). It is their choice how many kids they want to have, but if I were them, I would have stopped procreating once we had to move in with my parents because we couldn't afford to pay rent.

Anyways- we have been joking that it is just a matter of time, but now every single married couple among DH, his siblings, and his cousins is pregnant!!!

I guess I don't see what the big deal is. More babies to love. Yes, the one family probably should stop having kids since they seem to be living off of other people, but you can't change it. We have five babies coming between October and March in my family-me, two of my three sisters, and two cousins. We're all excited. One of those people that I know if on medicaid because she doesn't get insurance through her job, but oh well. I've had to be on medicaid for an unplanned pregnancy before. No we're not living off other family members, and we were supporting ourselves otherwise, but medicaid got us through at that time. I'm waiting for another cousin to get pregnant and bring the count up to six! I think it's fun!

Whoops!! Blame it on pregnancy brain!!

All babies are a blessing for sure. I'm over my brief annoyance- I just don't want to share the pregnancy limelight with anyone else! Especially since I know it's the last time ANYTHING will be about me for at least 18 years.
