Yeah, I find this pretty insane. Why would this young girl even want to date a guy with 8 kids? Talk about Baby Mama Drama. Plus, I highly doubt he would want to have anymore kids, so she's probably throwing away her chance to have her own kids someday.

Is it just me or is he going through a major midlife crisis? I guess he just felt like he didn't get to sow his wild oats and is going full throttle now. I just feel terrible for the kids.

Its all shitty, for the kids, but good for him for moving on. Kate made many of his last few years miserable. She was so demeaning and bossy, I'm happy that he has found someone else. I'm sure it wont be long til she pops up on the internet holding someones hand too! So who else thinks that Jon is looking pretty hot these days?!?!?

Its not like he was waiting till they got divorced, all his little trips and what not. I guess people can put the blame on Kate, but I dont think thats fair- time and time again she would mention how she would like for him to take control and steer the ship every once in a while, but that just wasnt him and he admitted to it. So im sure having 8 kids plus a husband thats a child would make anyone a little hair brained at times. People gotta move on I guess, and considering he moved on to a rich girl with a yatch..he must be doing something right.

I've seen this coming for a while now. I called it a while back and stated this is all a mid life crisis issue. I'm all for someone moving on with your life, but he is a selfish b*stard. It's all been about him since he was wanting out of this relationship. What man has 8 kids at home, uses the TV show nanny service to watch them overnight while you hit the bars with a lady, all because your wife is in NY? Hmmmm....feel sorry for Jon. Um never! I'm sure he picked up on her b!tchy ways since day one, so don't marry the lady. Now you want out! Common now.

I'm not surprised AT ALL. I think the entire situation is super crappy. I honestly never expected they'd get divorced. Kate is a huge ***- but she's always been that way and I imagine having 8 kids has too be stressful. That being said- she treated that man awful on national television!!! One thing is if she was mean like that in private- I know I'm not the nicest person all the time, but some things you just don't do/say infront of people!

I do agree it's a huge midlife crisis. He was a father of 8 by his 30 birthday. That's INSANE! The earrings, sports car, cool clothes and young girls lead me to believe he's trying to live the life he missed out on before the babies. It's all very sad.

I agree with the midlife crisis theory 100%. It's pretty obvious that that's where this all came from, especially considering how young he was when all the kids were born.

I personally can't stand Kate and I think she's an awful person (not that I know her, but just from how she portrays herself on television), so I don't blame Jon for getting out of the marriage at all. No one really knows for sure whether he was already seeing other women before filing for divorce, but if you believe the tabloids and hear the "insiders" opinions, the marriage was over way before the actual divorce filing. I think as a father, he should have his children's best interest in mind and should be really careful about how he conducts himself in the public eye and what decisions he makes (the fact that this girl is only 22 is definitely an eyebrow-raiser), but at the end of the day, he has a right to move on with his life, especially after spending his 20s married to someone like Kate.

He is having what John Mayer calls a quarter life crisis. Like Oh sh!t, I had 8 kids before I was 30! I hope he can prioritize his life enough so that his kids are still first.

I think he should be ashamed of the what he is doing. You want to move on with your life, fine but remember that you signed up to be a "celebrity" and that one day your kis will be able to see and read about all the stupid things you have done in your life! MORON!

I agree that Kate seems like a comtrolling, b!tchy wife but it's not all her fault and definately not an excuse to up and leave your family without at least trying to work at it. He's just a sad excuse for a man going through a mid-life crisis!

I disagree with this. Jon is a single guy now, yes, still a father to 8 kids, buts he's single. If he wants to walk around holding his girlfriends hand in public, who cares? Theres no harm in showing public affection to each other. Its not like they were caught having sex in their car. Lets also not forget the fact that Kate has been accused of cheating as well. Maybe she is just better at hiding it or maybe, no one really gives a crap about what shes doing. Either way, I dont think there is any harm in Jon having a girlfriend now. He probably hasnt loved Kate or been in love with Kate for quite a while, and definitely hasnt been happy. Kudos to him for being happy. Now, this doesnt take away from the fact that I feel sorry for their kids, but both parents made the decision to televise the lives of their family, and both are to blame for the public being all up in their business. This show wasnt started or intended for them to become celebrities, and lets just say that Kate has become quite the fashion diva, courtesy of exploiting her children on tv.

My thought process is that he is EIGHT kids at home. Whether he is having a midlife crisis he deserves or not WTF is he doing traipsing around the South of France? He and his wife just got seperated. Their #1 goal should be the stability of those children. This made me lose a lot of respect for him.

I don't know what to say really. I was shocked to read the gf being the surgeons daughter! Talk about take "that" Kate! But yes, they are divorced and he obviously moved on! Like someone said maybe Kate is very good at hiding her new relationship...but all we know is what the media gives us! I do agree with Lauren that is he a hottie now, I actually always thought he was cute

Maybe all this is a media stunt for more viewers when the season begins again, which means more $$$$$ Wink
