DH actually combines them and it's really good. He just does tuna, mayo, sweet relish and hard boiled eggs chopped up. My dad adds a little dijon mustard to his just for a hint of flavor. I've been avoiding tuna altogether otherwise I'd make DH make me some...nom nom nom.
(it's really to taste. Start conservatively and mix well until the texture is what you like, keeping in mind lemon/lime juice and relish will add more moisture, so you need less mayo. You can always add more).
Dill weed. Boiled egg is optional. If you want more crunch, try chopped water chestnut or carrot.
Mix. Let sit for about an hour in the fridge to let flavors mix. Serve with lettuce or on bread.

my favorite new way to make egg salad is something i discovered on accident. i was making a snack for dd and giving her chopped up hard boiled eggs and a side of avocado. turns out, when you mix them up it makes a really tasty (and mayo free) version of egg salad. yum!

YUM. This sounds awesome as I hate mayo...and love avocado! =P
This is my favorite way to prepare tuna salad. I use chunk white in water, and drain it as much as possible. Dump the tuna in a bowl and flake it. In the can, add lemon juice, a little mayo and dijon mustard, salt and pepper. Mix well. Add to tuna and stir in. Add chopped celery and red onion to tuna. Enjoy!
I found a yummy egg salad AND tuna recipe on allrecipes.com Will totally fulfill both cravings! It's yum. Go to the site and search cucumber tuna boats. I didn't put them in cucumber boat thing, just on bread like a sandwich. SOOOO GOOD!
I make my tuna salad with: hard boiled eggs, mayo, tuna, pickles, and pickle juice.
I follow this recipe but also add a few fresh diced jalepeno peppers -- they add just the right amount of zip & crunch! I've found tuna salad sandwiches are also pretty tasty on sourdough bread.
Re: Anyone have a good tuna or egg salad recipe?
3 oz tuna (packet, or 6 oz can, drained)
Mayonnaise
Relish
Lemon or lime juice
