My little guy has been chewing on his finger on one side of his mouth for months. For the past month, he's been drooling like crazy. I can't see anything and can't really feel anything, but yesterday he had a little blood in his drool (just once). Last night he cried after being asleep for a couple of hours, and wouldn't settle down until we held him (for about an hour). He already had his front 4 top teeth and 4 bottom teeth before he was 9 months old...and most of those were a painful day or two. This seems to be taking a lot longer...does it sound like molars are rearing their ugly little heads? How long did it take for your LOs first molars to break through, i.e. how long did he/she have symptoms before the relief finally came?
Thanks!
Re: So tell me about molars...
Your little guy sounds just like mine. Jack had his top 4 and bottom 4 by 8 months. His molars started about a month before his first b-day.
They take forever - ugh! I was shocked how long they took. I remember at his 1-yr app with the doc and the doc said - oh, ya both lower molars are coming in.
They probably took about a month. It was horrible.

Awesome
This is what I was afraid of!!!
Thanks ladies...I was starting to feel like I was going crazy with his little "mood swings" and that maybe I was just misreading him. We have his check-up soon so I'll have the dr confirm, but it's nice to know he's probably teething and that I'm not a bad mommy who can't tell what he needs!
