Hospital research?

We've only lived in Charleston, SC for a year, and being the procrastinator I am, I don't even have a general physician picked out yet, let alone a hospital - luckily I have an OB already.  She is affiliated with two hospitals (East Cooper and Roper St. Francis), so I assume I can probably choose either.  They are comparable distances apart.

Now, I came from NYC, and would feel very comfortable choosing a hospital there... but this is a whole 'nother situation here.  Are there any ways to research online about OB care in hospitals?  I haven't found work down here yet, so I can't even ask around.

TIA!

Now, I live in PA, so I don't know much about hospitals down by you.  But, I would recommend taking a tour of each and seeing if you can make a judgement of either that way.  Otherwise, I would have you or your husband ask around at work to see if anyone knows anyone who delivered at either.  I was up in the air about hospitals myself, but for me to go to the hospital I really thought would be best, I would have had to switch Drs, so that was a pretty easy decision.  Good Luck!
