Re: **Central PA Moms-to-Be Check-In!**

  • Good luck to all of the soon-to-be moms! Wow, the time has flown by! :)

    1. Overall, I feel that I've had a pretty easy pregnancy besides dealing with being pretty sick (not m/s) during the first trimester and having a scare with bleeding. So far, pregnancy has been very enjoyable. I do find that I get winded very easily - which is a pain. When I take the dog on long walks or even do some things around the house where I'm up and down a lot, I get short of breath easily and can't do as much as I formerly could. I'm sure as I get into the 3rd trimester though, a lot more things will become more difficult to do!

    2. Feeling great! My joint pain seems to have receeded and I'm not in as much pain as before. We had our check-up Tuesday and I finally gained a few pounds - I knew it was coming with all I'm eating :) We have our big ultrasound tomorrow and we are so excited to know what we're having so we can really start planning! :)

  • Oh, and I must add that although we still have one interview left, we are 99% positive we found our chlidcare provider last week!! She is absolutely amazing and is so nuturing, and I am confident leaving our LO in her care. We really clicked with her and she is a lot like myself and puts a lot of extra effort in to her home center. I'm so glad to have finally found someone after 40+ phonecalls and  several interviews. Big Smile
  • 1.  I'm very thankful to have had an easy ride (knock on wood for the last few days!) with this pregnancy.  The most difficult parts were finding maternity clothes I like and managing the one cold I got without OTC meds.  But other than that, baby boy really hasn't changed the way I do most things, except maybe for dietary restrictions or limitations.  After all the scary stories I read, I'm still wearing my stilettos, sleeping great, shaving my legs and lady bits with no problem, and staying active (stayed out until 12:30 a.m. Saturday night and mowed our whole lawn yesterday).

    2. DH is getting really anxious, and he wants this baby out now!  I'm ok for him to stay inside for a couple more Saturdays.  July 25 is my guess at his arrival date. :)  Hospital bags are now in the car, my breast pump is on the way, the nursery is freshly cleaned and off-limits to the cats and I picked up a preemie outfit just in case baby boy is too small for the coming home outfit we planned for him.  Only to-do I can think of at this point is finding some sugar-free hard candies to keep my mouth moist for L&D.

  • 1) What has been easier or more difficult than you expected during your pregnancy? Things are been pretty good for me over all. I didn't have too much m/s or other problems. The most difficult thing so far has been fatigue. I thought that would get better, but I think having to deal with a toddler makes it much harder. I'm sure things will get more difficult in the weeks to come... picking up DD, giving her a bath, etc.

     2)  Updates?  How are you feeling? Nothing new this week... I will have my 24 wk. appt.  next week and have to do the glucose test. I'm hoping that goes well! Other than feeling tired I can't really complain about much :-)

  • **butting in**

Just wanted to say best wishes to all the ladies with upcoming due dates... it has flown by!

  • 1. ?Its so much easier buying clothing for the little one! ?Especially since its a girl! ?This pregnancy I have just been more worn out overall, but more specifically, with my body. ?Its so tough chasing one around, and having one growing inside of you! ?I'm only 31 almost 32 weeks and I'm already uncomfortable! ?I will enjoy getting to meet my little one! ?I can't beleive that I'm in the middle of the list now! ?I remember when I was just added, haha.

    2. ?I'm feeling pretty good, just have full body fatigue and pain, haha. ?My body is smaller this time, but it feels bigger, haha. ?I have to get checked at 34 weeks to make sure nothing is going on down there since I was so early with Eli, but besides that, all is going as planned! ?I also have more frequent Braxton Hicks. ?Especially with exertion. ?Can't wait to meet her!?

  • 1. So far nothing much is different except that I get tired so much quicker!

    2. I am feeling good.  I had some sickness on Sunday, but I think it was just from the terrible dinner I had the night before since I had zero sickness before that and also have been fine since!

  • Please add me.  I'm pregnant with twin girls, due 11.24 and these are our first children.

    1)  The utter exhaustion!

    2)  I'm feeling pretty good in general.

  • HI!

I'm from Central PA, can you add me to the list?

I'm due 8-13-09, it's a girl and our first!!  Thanks ntnylizard for referring me to this page!!! Big Smile
