So, obviously I am not super happy with my appearance, but if there was any doubt as to just how bad I look, it was erased just moments ago. My conversation with a co-worker went like this:

CW: "You're about due now aren't you?"

me: "Due for what?"

CW: "To have your baby."

So, not only do I look pregnant, I look nine months pregnant.

Um, he's an ass, you do not look nine months pregnant. Not to be extreme, but as he said this to you at work and it upsets you, mention it to HR and maybe they can have a little chat with him about sensitivity and what you DON'T say to anyone at work. Some may think it's harsh, but where I work everyone has to go through that sort of training and believe it or not - this topic is covered extensively. That's effing ridiculous - you are gorgeous and he needs to slapped with a trout.

I'd actually prefer a free pass from HR to punch him in the face without repercussion.

I guess if it was going to come from anyone, I'm glad it came from him. He is one of those extremely intelligent people with ZERO social skills. He has a PHD, but rarely bathes and almost all of his teeth are rotted out. He has been sent home before because the smell coming from his office was so offensive. I'm not exaggerating this.

That is so wrong.

If he doesn't bathe though and has no social skills, maybe he *thought* he was doing a good thing by asking you about it? I'm sure he didn't even look at your stomach before he said anything. People like that couldn't care less about appearances, as you can tell by his. My DH is an engineer and knows people like this in real life. If your co-worker is anything like the stories my DH tells, he meant no harm. Not that that makes you feel better, but....
