Question about poop...maybe TMI!!

My 4 month old is solely formula fed and has had several bad diapers today.  Usually he just has one a day, but he's had three today.  The first had a lot of chunks in it like cottage cheese, the second was more runny and massive and the third was basically liquid and went all up his back.  Do you think he could be sick?  He's been acting fine all day, but he's never had poops like this.  They're usually regular and not so large, runny, or cottage cheese like.  Thanks for your help!

    i would keep an eye on him...were his wets normal?

    Yeah, he's had wet diapers throughout the day and he's eaten well all day too.

    Ditto.  I would keep and eye on it and possibly call pedi just to ease your mind.

    My DD's poops were a little funny during the peek of teething (two bottom teeth showed up last week). I think I read that they swallow a lot of saliva when they do. 4 month-ish is early, but not out of the question.

    hes probably fine...dd is like this too..some of her poops are more watery and then seem solid..maybe he was just a little backed up and then was trying to regulate everything. but ask pedi if you are concerned...where in NC are you? we are near Charlotte now, but we used to live in the raleigh area

    We're near the coast now, but used to live in Raleigh too.  Love it up there and miss it a lot!!

    He definitely may be teething.  He's been drooling non stop and has been biting his thumb, not sucking, just straight biting/chewing.
