If your child has a tiny waist

I just realized that Old Navy and Mexx are the only clothing brands that make small waisted pants.

Just and FYI

Re: If your child has a tiny waist

  • Lots of places also sell the pants that have adjustable bands in them.  I have to get those for our 9 y/o.   We also get our slim pants from Jc Penny's.

  • Try Crazy8...that's the first place that I saw that has the adjustable waist for the little ones. My DD has such small legs and waist that she wears 12month bottoms and usually 24months/2T tops!
  • Thanks for the info.  We're pretty much in 12 month pants (though he has a pair of 6-9 month shorts he can wear!) and 18 month tops now.  He is so long and skinny!

  • Target has adjustable waist pants and shorts too.  I've been getting them for DS because he's a tiny kid.
  • This is interesting because DS is a string bean too.  We're getting by in 6-12 month shorts because the length doesn't matter!  His 6-12 month pants are too short and the 12-18 month stuff I have is WAY too big around the waist.  Ugh.  I've got a few go-to pairs of pants that have a waist that fits but everything else I'm just hoping he grows a little belly for.

  • Summer's great, because she's in 6-12 month shorts....for pants, I take the waist in myself because she needs 18 months pants.  We just bought jammies at Costco for the cottage, and she fits the 18 month great right now, but will need 24 months by the fall.

I haven't found anywhere in Canada that has adjustable pants....and stay far away from Joe, because they have HUGE waists.  Oh...or try cloth diapers...they help hold stuff up =)
