Late Getting BFP?

Taking a quick poll... How many of you ladies were late getting a BFP? Today is Sunday and I should have started AF on Wednesday. I took a HPT Friday that had a faint line, but the digital I took this morning said "Not Pregnant." Is it possible to still get a late BFP this many days past AF being due? I've always had regular periods, but I'm thinking maybe I'm just worrying myself that something is wrong. Thanks ladies!

I'm sure it may be possible, but I got my BFP 5 days before I missed my period, so it's probably not likely...

Digitals are less sensitive but they picked up both of my bfps w/in 24 hours of a positive line test after initially saying 'not pregnant' using the same samples as the line tests.

I'd call the dr/nurse tomorrow and explain the situation and get his/her take. That way, I wouldn't have to worry or guess. Good luck to you!

I have read some where that pregnancy test do not necessarily work for all women and that you may have to go to the doctor and get a blood test to find out for sure. Best of luck to you!

I would say..> Congratulations! ?You had a line! ? The digital aren't as sensitive and mine didn't show up positive!

That's my thought too, but I don't want to be too hopeful until I'm confirmed again! I also read online they aren't as sensitive as other tests. This was my first time buying a digital and it's more aggravating than other line tests, at least for me!

Just FYI, a + OPK does not mean that you ovulated. It means that your body was gearing up to ovulate (the hormone was present). You could have O'ed 1 or 2 days later than the + OPK, or not at all. Plenty of times your body gears up for it and it doesn't happen.

That said, if you got a line, I'd say that is a good sign. You probably just O'ed later than the 24th so you may have to wait a few more days to pick it up on the digital.

In response to your question - I always got my BFP's late. I would never get a + even the day after my period was due - it was usually 2 or 3 days later that I'd get one. I used the CBEFM and found out that it's likely because I ovulate very late in my cycle. So, it's still possible. I'd say if you had a faint line - that's a good thing! Good luck!

I didn't even test until I was a 8 days late. Just make sure you test first thing in the morning of course. Good luck.

Good chance you are preggo...a line is a line. No such thing as a false positive. Wait a few more days and test again (with the line test) and see what you get. Wish you all the best!
