I know its a ways off, but I like to be prepared.
How do you go about it? Do you need a special food processor or can you just use that setting on the blender?
I read in american baby that you can just blend veggies or fruit and store them in ice trays. Warm up two for a serving. Sounded like a good idea. Anyone have other tips?

You don't need this, obviously, but I think it will make it a lot easier
Heck yeah! I am total food nerd and am excited to blend and mash fruits and veggies.
Haven't researched it yet but I am sure once - fingers crossed - I am on 0-6 someone will have tips.
i've heard a immersion blender can be really helpful too.

This was what I was going to suggest. I figure it will be easy and I'll probably eat some of it too with baby!
I did with my ds and plan to this time around too. It honestly took very little time and it definitely does taste 100% better. The only time he had jarred food was when we stayed oot at the il's and the couple tastes I had were gross compared to what he had been eating. His poop smelled AWFUL that week too. It was not fun.
www.wholesomebabyfood.com has everything you could ever want to know about making baby food (recommended months to introduce, preperation tips, how long it will keep in a freezer, etc) and with no need to buy a book. It's really very simple. All I had is one of those mini food processors and I froze the purees in ice cube trays. Once they were frozen I moved them to freezer ziplocks and labled them. Most of the cooking was hands off, so I would spend maybe 5-10 minutes tops pureeing the batch and would wind up with enough cubes for weeks. It honestly wasn't much extra work for me at all!
